HISTORY
Pastor F. L. Stubbs and his wife dedicated their lives to ministering to "the whole family." This was manifested in the form of a local church, early learning center, and Christian academy. Living a service-centered life was so deeply instilled into his family that they felt the call to continue the legacy of ministry. Church at the Well was born out of the desire of a group of people to return to the roots of the early church: relationship with Christ and relationship with one another.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe:
In one God, who exists in three Persons—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
That the Bible is God’s inspired Word.
That sin has separated us all from God. Only through Jesus Christ can we be reconciled to God.
That Jesus Christ is both God and man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He led a sinless life, took all our sins upon Himself, died and rose again.
That salvation is God’s gift to us. It is available to anyone who confesses the Lord Jesus with their mouth and believes that God has raised Him from death to life.
That water baptism is an outward symbol of the cleansing power of God and reflects an inward change.
That the Holy Spirit is our Comforter. He also blesses us with spiritual gifts and empowers us to live an overcoming life.
That our Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again just as He promised.
VISION AND MISSION
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We believe that we are called to love God and love people. Church at the Well exists to be salt, flavoring the communities that we live in, and light, shining into the darkness of personal battles and illuminating hope for a disheartened world. Rethink church; come to the Well.
